On April 2nd, PUNARBASA celebrates World Autism Awareness Day by providing Sensory Integration Therapy through qualified occupational therapists, addressing the growing need for autism support in the rural district of Kendrapara since 2017-18.
On September 8th, PUNARBASA marks World Physiotherapy Day, emphasizing the essential contributions of physiotherapists in promoting wellness, mobility, and independence.
Since 2017-18, PUNARBASA has provided free therapeutic and rehabilitative services to approximately 40 children and persons with disabilities like Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and other intellectual challenges in Kendrapara district.
PUNARBASA supports Disability Rights by organizing social programs and providing financial assistance of ₹10,000 each to two paraplegic entrepreneurs from Kendrapara district, promoting their inclusion in mainstream society.
On April 29, 2024, PUNARBASA launched a Financial Sponsorship Programme on the birth anniversary of Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das, providing monthly financial support of ₹5000 to Monali Swain, a national para swimmer, and ₹4000 to Baraj Kumar Das, a meritorious PwD student pursuing MSc in Physics at Utkal University for 12 months.
PUNARBASA organizes an annual painting competition for school children in Kendrapara district to raise awareness about the abilities and contributions of differently-abled individuals. This event aims to teach students about the Right of Equality for all citizens.
PUNARBASA publishes informative materials to raise awareness among differently-abled individuals. This includes translations of the Rights of Persons with Disability Act-2016, and booklets on autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and locomotor and multiple disabilities, all in Odia language for easy understanding.
Every December 3rd, PUNARBASA celebrates the International Day of Disabled Persons, advocating for the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities across all areas of life.
Annually on October 6th, PUNARBASA dedicates a day to World Cerebral Palsy Day. Since 2017-18, our organization has also been committed to providing essential physiotherapy services to children affected by cerebral palsy, ensuring comprehensive care.
PUNARBASA regularly organizes seminars to raise awareness about disability and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, in collaboration with Kendrapara District's Social Security wings.
PUNARBASA organizes annual free Artificial Limbs and Callipers Measurement Camps with BMVSS for leg amputees and polio-affected individuals. Additionally, the organization provides standard and Motorised Battery Driven wheelchairs to enhance daily living.
PUNARBASA facilitated the "Livelihood Assistance to PwDs Women Entrepreneurs" program, supporting five small women entrepreneurs in Kendrapara district with ₹12,000 each to strengthen their businesses.
PUNARBASA supports economically weaker, meritorious PwD students in Kendrapara district with the Annual PUNARBASA Meritorious Scholarship since 2021, enabling access to higher education and skill development opportunities, fostering economic independence and inclusion in mainstream society.
PUNARBASA organizes street rallies and participates in the Kendrapara State Book Fair to raise awareness about the constitutional rights and laws for persons with disabilities, empowering them and promoting equality. School children and PwD participants join these initiatives to educate the public on rights-based, and constitution-based.
PUNARBASA provides platforms for differently-abled individuals to showcase their creative talents through musical programs and events, particularly for visually challenged artists in Kendrapara District. This initiative nurtures and encourages their innate creativity, offering opportunities often unavailable to them.
PUNARBASA facilitated a discussion highlighting inclusive election practices and perspectives from diverse participants and local officials, focusing on the 2024 General Election.
On May 29, 2024, PUNARBASA organized a Braille voter awareness workshop at Madhapur Therapy Centre, featuring insights from esteemed educators, medical professionals, and visually challenged leaders on new Braille-compatible voting provisions.
Launched on October 11, 2010, Kendrapara's first physiotherapy unit, inaugurated by Dr. Patitapaban Mohanty of SVNIRTAR on affordable fees.
Through the SSEPD Dept. supported project, PUNARBASA offers home-based therapy services to 16 children with severe cerebral palsy, addressing accessibility challenges and financial constraints related to commuting to therapy centers which makes easy.

PUNARBASA annually confers the "Punarbasa Samartha Sanman" with cash awards and citations to recognize exemplary differently-abled individuals in Odisha who have made significant contributions to society despite their disabilities. This award aims to honor and highlight their extraordinary efforts and achievements.
On International Wheelchair Day, March 1st, 2024, Kendrapara Autonomous College hosted its first wheelchair basketball match, organized by the District Administration and Social Security Wings, supported by PUNARBASA.
