Heath check-up camp for CwIDs on 21.05.2024:
In collaboration with the Department of Social Security, Government of Odisha, a health check-up camp has been organized for children with intellectual disabilities receiving therapy at PUNARBASA Rehabilitation Centre in Madhapur. Dr. Bhavtosh Bose, senior paediatrician at the Indupur Community Health Centre under the district headquarters hospital, examined the special child' health. A total of 20 differently-abled children and their parents from cerebral palsy, autism and other categories participated in the camp. Therapists Gunjansmita Behera, Rachita Jena, councillors Sanjib Jena and Ranjan Swain were the key contributors, while the institute's members Bansidhar Mohanty and Jyotiranjan Nayak conducted the camp. Dr. Birja Routray, Chief Advisor of the Institute, said that this is very useful for these children who are often deprived of health services due to disability and transportation and other problems.
