Felicitation of Differently Abled Working Women on International Women's Day by PUNARBASA on 08.03.2024:

On the occasion of International Women's Day, PUNARBASA celebrated in a unique way. Specially Grassroot level differently able women volunteers engaged under the Samagra Sikhya at the Panchayat level for promoting inclusive education by identifying and assisting children with disabilities in villages of Kendrapara district. A total nine numbers of differently abled Inclusive Education Volunteers engaged in different blocks of kendrapara district namely Ranjita Sahoo, Annapurna Samal, Manjulata Sahoo, Jayanti Nayak, Kirtilata Upadhyaya, Chamilini Nayak, Jayanti Kumari Khatua, Swarnaprava Swain, Chandrama Rout felicitated by Chief Guest Hon'ble Senior Judge and Secretary, District Legal Cell Authority, District Court, Kendrapara Mrs Sumitra Sahoo. She praised this initiative taken by the organization PUNARBASA by recognizing this silent and unnoticed contributor of society. Hon’ble speaker Dr. Dipti Ray, Senior Lecture, in the Department of Economics of Kendrapara Autonomous college emphasized the equal contribution of women along with men is the yearlong great tradition of Indian society in her speech. On this occasion mothers of few differently abled special children, those undergoing therapy in PUNARBASA Rehab centre were also felicitated for their incomparable patience and perseverance which are ineffable. They are namely Sunita Das, Dharitri Nayak, Jahanara Begum, Samina Khatun, Sandhyarani Panda. Further, during this occasion three distinguished women who are closely associated in rendering their services to the differently abled community directly or indirectly firstly the Block Resource Teacher for Children with Special Needs Smt Rajlaxmi Rout, Ward Counsellor Smt Rasmita Singh and one active female member of PUNARBASA Miss Amrin Sahadat, Director of Education Point were also felicitated for their spontaneous support and contribution.

The program was coordinated by the Chief Advisor of this Organization Biraja Routray. In addressing the women participants present with the catch line " Only Today is not yours to respect your contribution but you deserve all the 365 days to be yours because without you the Human civilization cannot exist "Initially, after the introductory speech by the member Swapnashu Kumar Das, the felicitation session was carried out by member Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, Therapist Rachita Jena, Gunjansmita Behera, Gayatri Prusty and Manoj Kumar Biswal.

In the conclusion, vote of thanks was given by the Assistant Secretary Banshidhar Mohanty
