The volunteer Organization PUNARBASA celebrated Diwali in a unique way among Differently Abled students who were deprived of the festive atmosphere of the festival of lights. On behalf of this institution, the festival was celebrated by the students of Nimai Charan mentally retarded deaf students of municipal schools working under Kendrapara Municipality, on the occasion of 'lighting Diwali with laughter'. Biraja Routray is the founder and chief counsellor of rehabilitation.

SAMBAD Rau was present and interacted with the children and distributed sweets and gifts. In this program, the editor-in-chief Banshidhar Mohanty, Executive Committee Member Mohammad Zahid Shaw, Principal Teacher Swapnashu Kumar Das, Sangram Chowdhury Major expressed that this will bring joy to the hearts of Differently Abled students living in hostels away from their families. Sanjib Jena, Samarendra Choudhury, Ranjan Swain and all the teachers, teaching and non-teaching staff of the three separate schools were present and supported the efforts on behalf of the rehabilitation.
